This release contains new features for:
Planned release date: 02.02.2023.
We have now integrated delegated third-party authentication into Fluenta.
From now on, our users will have the option to log into Fluenta via their verified third-party account (Microsoft, Google, LinkedIn).
This works the way it does on other websites: the buttons for signing in via the three third-party services appear on the login page. Clicking the button redirects the user to the login page of the appropriate third-party service, where Fluenta requests access to the use of the email address connected to the third-party service the first time the user signs in via this service.
Important to note: Delegated authentication only works if the primary email address connected to the third-party service is the same as the email address associated with the user’s registered Fluenta account.
If the user would like to save their login information, it can be set up in their linked Microsoft, Google, or LinkedIn account.
If you have multifactor authentication set up for your Fluenta account, the system will require this verification independent of delegated authentication login. If the user has MFA set up for their Microsoft, Google, or LinkedIn account as well, it is possible that the user has to go through the multifactor authentication process twice for one login – once for their linked third-party account and once for Fluenta.
To make their everyday tasks easier, we have added a new feature for our company administrator users.
Now they have the option to set up observer roles for their users. An example where this might be useful is in case the company administrator would like to allow a department head to observe all the Auction and Sourcing events of the employees in that department.
To make Fluenta easier to use, the menu options that previously were found in different places in the system (R2P Admin, Partner Admin, Profile) will now be available on a single, central page, the Settings interface.
As we have previously indicated, this means that these settings will no longer be available in their previous menu options, they can only be accessed from the searchable, filterable Settings page.
To make our users’ everyday tasks easier to manage, we have added a pinned configuration settings widget to the right side of the Fluenta Dashboard. From now, users can navigate to their frequently used settings immediately after logging in.
For example, we suggest buyers using Fluenta R2P to pin the Purchase orders and Requisitions settings on the Settings interface to access these features from the Dashboard with just one click.
We have also made the Settings interface easier and more convenient to navigate on smaller screens, where displaying filtering options previously overcrowded the page. We have hidden these filtering options from our small screen optimized pages, so that the alphabetic list of configuration settings are easy to scroll and overview on smaller displays as well.
Fluenta Analytics, which provides our users with complex customized reports connecting all our other modules, has been updated with new features.
Now Analytics users have the option to print or export their report pages to PDF or PowerPoint embedded image with just a few clicks.
New exports can be set up to include the currently displayed page only or all pages of the report, and the current values (that the user might have reorganized) or the default ones.
As a security measure, the Auction module now only allows certain file types to be uploaded. For more information, visit Fluenta GO!. In the future, we would like to expand this restriction to all modules to keep our users safe from malicious files.
We have also revised and updated the terminology in Fluenta Auction. With this development, we aim to make the module’s language more consistent and easier to understand for our users.
The update concerns the following expressions:
